What is the importance of AO4?
The examiners want to see if you are having fun whilst reading different texts. Literature is meant to be a hobby so they need to give importance to AO4 because if not, they won't be able to assess students' enjoyment.
Insight is not an easy skill to master and so when it comes to the conclusion, this is where you should really focus on AO4 because the other Assessment Objectives are marked throughout the essay.
This assessment objective is marked holistically throughout your answer. The examiners want to see if you can clearly, coherently and cohesively answer the question in a thought-provoking way.
When the examiners are having a shower, they need to be reminded of exquisite conclusions that left them reflecting about the question and the text as a whole.
