BOB Rain Reign

This story is told in the first person by a twelve year old girl who is high functioning autistic. Her mother moved out when she was little and she only has her dad and her uncle.

The difference between breaking a rule and making a mistake is that making a mistake is accidental.

This story takes place in Hatford, New York.

The dog, who looks a little like a yellow Labrador retriever, was found just before Thanksgiving the year before this story begins.

When stressed she would suddenly blurt out prime numbers. Two, three, five, seven eleven, thirteen...

The storm of the century was heading their way.

It is no fair to look for homonyms online. She has to discover them herself and then she has to write them by hand on her paper. Sometimes she has to rewrite everything because she does not have room for the new words.

The right thing to do is to locate the dog's original owners, no matter had much it hurts her.

She has a plan for how to locate a lost dog. It includes a map, lists of all the dog shelters and all the local towns.

Her father lost his job. The hurricane toppled several trees in the yard and destroyed their bridge. Soon, his home went into foreclosure and he could not take care of his daughter. He took her to his brother's house and left her in the middle of the night.

He never raised a fist at her before. That was because he did not want to be the kind of father that his father was.

This book takes place from October until summer.

Her mother did not leave her, she died of an aneurysm in her heart. For years she thought her mother left because of her and her problems.
