Evaluating a function is easy. For example, given f(x)=5x-3 and we want to find f(2).
Take note that we are given f(x) and we want to find f(2).
The first step is to replace x with 2 : f(2)=5(2)-3
Next step is to simplify (PEMDAS): f(2)=10-3 = 7. Thus f(2)=7.
Try this! Find f(8). Just write your answer like this:
f(8)=20 (if 20 is the answer) :)

Another example:
Given g(x)= 8x-5, find g(-3).
Solution:
g(-3)=8(-3)-5
g(-3)=-24-5
g(-3)=-29
Your turn! Find g(0).
Type answer as g(0)=200, for example.
