The hole in the center should be large enough to contain the root system of the seedling roots in a natural position.

The depth of the first hole depends upon the dryness of the surface soil. The depth and size of the second hole depend upon the root system of the seedling.

Place the tree seedling at the center of the hole at the correct depth so as not to harm the root system.
