A Delicious Surprise at Grandma’s House

Last Saturday, Emma visited her grandma’s house for lunch. As soon as she entered the kitchen, she saw a big bowl of vegetable soup on the table. “Come, dear! Have a seat on the chair,” her grandma said with a smile.

Emma looked around and opened the cupboard to get a glass of water. Inside, she also found a small bag of candy. “Grandma, can I have one after lunch?” she asked. Her grandma laughed and said, “Only if you finish your fish and vegetables.”

Emma sat down and started eating. The soup was warm and tasty, with pieces of carrot and potatoes. She drank some milk and enjoyed her meal. After finishing everything, her grandma gave her a sweet candy as a reward.

An Exciting City Adventure

Emma and Daniel loved exploring new places. One Saturday, they decided to take the city buses and visit different parts of town. Their first stop was one of the largest supermarkets, where they bought snacks for the day. As they walked outside, they admired the tall apartments surrounding the busy streets.

Later, they arrived at one of the most beautiful parks in the city. Emma put on her roller skates, while Daniel preferred to ride his bike along the paths. “This place is amazing! I wish we had more time to explore,” Daniel said, watching families enjoy the sunny day.

As the afternoon passed, they talked about their dream vacation. “I would love to visit a tropical island someday,” Emma said. “I could spend the whole day at the beach, I'd go to fish and swim in the clear water.” Daniel smiled. “That sounds perfect! But first, let’s go to the swimming pool. I need to cool down after all this exercise.”

On their way, they passed by some modern hospitals before finally reaching the pool. They jumped in, feeling the refreshing water. “What an incredible day,” Emma said. “Next time, let’s try something even more adventurous!”

Sophie and Mark planned a fun Saturday with their friends. In the morning, they met at the sports center. Sophie played tennis, while Mark joined a basketball game with some other players. After an hour, they decided to cool off in the pool. “The water feels amazing after all that running!” Mark said, jumping in.

Later, they went to the park, where Sophie put on her skates and glided along the path. Mark, however, was more interested in the cars on the race track nearby. “One day, I want to drive a real race car,” he said excitedly, watching the fast-moving vehicles.

In the afternoon, they went shopping. Sophie didn’t feel like wearing pants, so she chose a beautiful skirt. “It looks great on you!” said Mark. She also bought a matching scarf to keep warm. Meanwhile, Mark tried on a pair of glasses because he was having trouble reading small letters. “These help me see so much better,” he said.

Before leaving, Sophie picked out a stylish handbag, and Mark bought some new socks. “Now we’re ready for our next adventure,” Sophie said with a smile. It had been a perfect day of sports, speed, and shopping!
