    Elyssa Scored 132 points.

    Kendra scored 97 points.

    Hendrix scored 105 points.

    Mike scored 68 points.

Which answer best  explains how you can use place value to determine which score is the greatest.

The greatest score is Elyssa. She has 132 points.

Elyssa had the greatest score. Hendrix had the 2nd. Kendra had the 3rd and Mike had the last.

I determined 4 scores from greatest to least. I went to the hundreds place. I saw 132 and 105 so I went to the tens and saw 3 and 0. 3 is greater than zero so 132 is the greatest and 105 has to be second. 9 is greater than 6 so 97 is greater than 68. 68 is the least.

The greatest is Elyssa 132 and Hendrix is second.  Then Kendra and Mike. Elyssa has 132 and Hendrix has 105 and Kendra has 97 and finally Mike. He has 68.
