Separation of Church and State: The distance in the relationship between organized religious and the nation state. Due process: The government must act fairly and in accord with established rules in all that it does. Equal Protection: a guarantee under the 14th Amendment to the United States Constitution that a state must treat an individual or class of individuals the same as it treats other individuals or classes in like circumstances Racial Discrimination: Prejudiced or prejudicial outlook, action, or treatment based on race. Religious Liberty: Religious freedom based on the establishment and free-exercises clauses of the first amendment.
