The people engage in the production of food crops. Major food crops being cultivated by the people include guinea corn/ millet, maize, beans, groundnut, rice, wheat, vegetables and pepper. 2. Leather works: This occupation involves the production of leather materials such as shoes, bags, puffs, sandals and belts. The presence of abundant cattle, sheep and other domestic animals makes it possible for the people to engage in the occupation. 3. Weaving and Dyeing: Weaving is a traditional occupation mainly engaged in by the Hausa men and women. Cloth weaving is regarded as the most difficult and the most important part of the cloth industry among Hausa people.
