There are three basic tribes in Nigeria and they are: (i) The Yorubas (ii) The Hausas (iii) The Igbos. These tribes could be identified by the type of dresses they put on as their traditional attires. A Yoruba woman will put on her blouse (Buba) and tie her wrapper on her waist and head gear (Gele) on her head. While the Yoruba man will put on his buba and Sokoto with agbada and a cap to match. Hausa woman will put on her blouse with wrapper tied on her waist and a scarf on her head. She will use the second wrapper or a veil to wrap up, exposing only her face. While Hausa man will put on his buba and Sokoto with agbada with full embroidery work. They also wear a long buba known as babaringa too. The Igbo woman will wear her blouse on double wrappers with head- gear to match. While the Igbo man will wear a shirt or buba on a wrapper tied on his waist, holding a walking stick or leather hand fan, a cap with feather to match on the head.
