People just loved love, and some random dude was SO into it, he asked a girl out for the date set on february 14th. This girls name was valentine, and she DETESTED love, she made such a big racket that was known worldwide, so in honor of her denial of a date from a KING they made valentines day an official holiday.
A pope named Valentine wed people from the military when no marriage was aloud for military members. he did this on the 14th of every February, and because what he did was respected, he had an official holiday after his death 6 years after starting this tradition.
Emperor Claudius II executed two men — both named Valentine — on Feb. 14 of different years in the 3rd century A.D.
