My Trip to Costa Rica
Last month, my family traveled to Costa Rica. It’s a small country in Central America, sandwiched between Nicaragua and Panama. Even though we only visited for a week, we had many adventures.
One day, we went white water rafting. At first I was scared, but then I relaxed. Rafting was like riding an unpredictable roller coaster: we’d get jerked from side to side, move slowly, and then whoosh, a current would sweep us down the river.
Another day, we went on a canopy tour. It’s called a canopy tour, because you use a zip line to go from platform to platform in the forest canopy. My dad didn’t like jumping from a platform, three stories above the jungle floor, and zipping to the next platform via a steel cable. I, on the other hand, loved the tour! It was like flying.
The next time we go to Costa Rica, I hope we can stay longer than a week. I’d like to take surfing lessons, visit an active volcano, and try to learn Spanish.
