Termination of Prokaryotic DNA Replication Termination occurs near the center of a 270 bp region called ter or T locus. ter is 180O opposite of OriC and contains a sequence-specific binding protein called Tus (termination utilization substance). The GTGTGTTGT sequence that Tus binds to is repeated 5 times. The Tus protein has antihelicase activity and this ensures that replication of the genome is completed only once. In remarks reported by CNBC, Trump said he was planning to discuss the plan with film industry leaders. “I’m not looking to hurt the industry, I want to help the industry.” He added: “So we’re going to meet with the industry. I want to make sure they’re happy with it because we’re all about jobs.” Trump also took aim again at California state governor Gavin Newsom, saying the film industry “has been decimated by other countries taking them out, and also by incompetence, like in Los Angeles, the governor [Gavin Newsom] is a grossly incompetent man, he’s just allowed it to be taken away from”.
