The facts presented in a scientificpaper must be accurate.  The informationshould be written without distortion. Make certain that the information in the document is true.

In scientific writing, the message is given indirectly, just like in the case of literary writing.  The reader is expected to predict for himself the results of the experiments. The style and format employed in scientific writing leave the reader room for interpretation.

Better organization of key thoughts and ideas can be achieved by preparing an outline before writing each part of the scientific paper.

Always consider data that are not consistent with your hypothesis. They must also be included in your scientific paper.

The writer/s can decide which amongthe tables and figures should be numbered and have complete descriptive titles.

Use the past tense to state experimental observations and the present tense in making remarks about data presentation.

Discussion of the results is done using both the present and past tenses.

In writing the methodology in the final paper, keep in mind that this is written in the present tense.

Every discussion of the related literature should end in a paragraph in which you summarize all the cited studies and interpret them in terms of your own problem.

Deliver the message to the reader in the shortest possible manner. However, clarity and completeness must not be sacrificed for brevity.
