Mga Popular na Babasahin Ang pahayagan na isang uri ng print media na nananatiling buhay at bahagi ng ating kultura. Isa sa mga katibayan nito ay ang mga nagkalat na tabloid sa mga bangketa araw-araw. Bagamaāt ang ilang mahahalagang balita ay makikita na sa telebisyon at maririnig na sa radio ay malakas pa rin ang hatak ng print media sa mga tao dahil sa katotohanang hindi naman naiuulat lahat ang mga balita sa TV at radio. Bukod dito, hanggaāt naitatabi ang sipi ng pahayagan ay may epekto pa rin sa mga mambabasa ang mga nilalaman nito. Ang komiks ay isang grapikong midyum na ang mga salita at larawan ay ginagamit upang ihatid ang isang salaysay o kuwento. Ito ay nabibilang ding isang makulay at popular na babasahin na ang layunin ay magbigay aliw sa mga mambabasa, magturo ng ibaāt ibang kaalaman, at magsulong ng kulturang Pilipino. Ang magasin ay isang ring uri ng babasahing popular na kinahuhumalingan ng mga Pilipino dahil sa aliw na hatid nito at mga impormasyong makukuha rito. Hindi mawawala ang Liwayway kung ang pag-uusapan ay ang paglaganap ng magasin sa Pilipinas. Naglalaman ito ng mga maikling kuwento at mga nobela na naging instrumento upang umunlad ang kamalayan ng marami sa kulturang Pilipino. Dinala nito ang panitikan sa kabahayan ng pamilyang Pilipino. Ang dagli ay isang anyong pampanitikang maituturing na maikling maikling kuwento. Bagamaāt walang katiyakan ang pinagmulan nito sa Pilipinas, sinasabing lumaganap ito sa unang dekada ng pananakop ng mga Amerikano.
