TRUE OR FALSE: F plasmid is double stranded. When genetic information is being shared from the F+ cell to the F- cell, the double stranded is split open and a single strand is carried through the pilus to the F- cell. At the same time as one strand is being pulled into the F- cell, the F+ cell is rebuilding the second strand of DNA. Once the single stranded DNA is in the F- cell, the F- cell begins copying a second strand thus making it double stranded. Once complete, the F- cell becomes an F+ cell.
